Meet HOT PEPPER - Paws Behind Bars Prison Dog Trained
HOT PEPPER is a young, male mixed breed (Husky/Border Collie?). He weighs 47 lbs, and he's probably between 9 and 12-months-old. He is currently in our Paws Behind Bars Prison Dog training program - he's young, he's got the energy, and he's got the smarts - to make the most of his training! If we're correct on our guess of his breed mix, he's got a good work ethic, and much of his energy can successfully be channeled if he has a job to do. His composure will come as he ages, as it does with all young adults. He can also be rather chatty at times.
We're happy to report he's doing nicely in training. It's amazing to watch a dog go from crazy to very composed! As far as social skills? No issue there - he'll play with all the other dogs and happily greet any person. Crate, leash, and house-training are also part of his curriculum. He'll do best with an active family and would eagerly welcome another dog to play with. No doubt he's beautifully marked.
If you’re interested in adopting, our process begins with the submission of our online application, or email us if you submitted an application within the last six months. We review and schedule meet and greets (with approved applicants only) based on the order received.
